Description of the Organization?

Debian is an organization responsible for the continued development and support of the Debian operating system.

Description of the project?

Debian is also an operating system with the goals of being stable and easy to use in many environments.

Describe each team member’s role?

All group members assist with research, compilation of information, and presentation production.

What do you anticipate the easy parts will be?

• Gathering information about the OS, which we’ve used in the past.

What do you anticipate the hard parts will be?

• Gathering information about the organizational and financial status Debian, which seems opaque and not easily separated from SPI, which is the sponsor of Debian.

How will you overcome both?

Through our own experience with the project, plus multiple people doing researching and reviewing each others’ research.

If something goes wrong, what contingencies do you have in place?

Ask for help in IRC.

When will your group meet regularly outside of class time?

Any day we don’t have class (Monday/Wednesday/Friday), as well as virtually through the internets.
